Shambala Ranch
A living sanctuary where we explore the radical act of returning to our animal bodies, our indigenous hearts, and our place in the web of all living things.
Where land, body & community
become the teachers
Through immersive retreats, monthly reset days, and artist residencies, we invite you to reclaim the parts of yourself the modern world asks you to forget:
- your ancestral body
- raw creativity
- unprocessed emotion, and
- the wildness that binds you to everything that lives.
At Shambala Ranch, practices of somatics, ritual, creative expression, ecology, and community collide into a vision of an enlightened society that is awake, unarmored, and in right relationship with the seen and unseen.
The Shambala Way
Rooted in Buddhist practice and reverence for the living world, the Shambhala Way is an embodied approach to spiritual life. Through movement, creative expression, land-based practice, ritual, and relational work, we reconnect with the intelligence of the body and the natural world, dissolving the sense of separation between mind and body, self and land, and each other.
Our Retreats
Embodied journeys into the wild, honest, and elemental parts of being human.
Awakening the Primal Artist Within
An initiation into wild, unedited creativity.
This four-day rupture in perfectionism and performance plunges you into wild, unfiltered creativity—a place where art is a natural outpouring of your humanity.
Through ritual theater, somatic expression, and embodied experimentation, you’ll meet the raw depth of your inner world and learn to create from connection to the truth in your body.

Learn MoreBecoming Earth: Rewilding Your Nature
An immersion into the intelligence and power of your earth-body.
This four-day experience dissolves the false separation between you and the natural world, guiding you back into an ancient, embodied way of knowing.
Direct contact with land, animals, and elements, rivers, stones, wind, and horses reveals them to be kin, mirrors, and teachers.
Through somatic ritual, animist practice, and deep listening to the Earth, we soften fixed identities, untame perception, and remember ourselves as nature itself—ancient, sacred, and alive.

Tending the Grief Body
Learning to hold sorrow with softness, truth, and the rituals that help it move.
This four-day descent into the aching truth of impermanence invites you to meet grief as an ongoing relationship shaped by ritual, poetry, somatic practice, and the shared courage of community.
Through ritual expressions of grief, somatic movement experiences, reflection, and communal witnessing, we soften around what hurts, honor what remains, and learn to engage more honestly with the fragile beauty of being alive.
